After using a variety of tools to track customers stock, ABC-Logistics called in Camway Computing to help develop a fully integrated, purpose-built, tracking database, that not only enabled staff to schedule each days work, track all incoming and outgoing movements, but also to provide timely accurate reports to customers and ABC management.
For simplicity and to keep cost to a minimum Camway Developed a Transactional Database in Microsoft Access RDBMS. Camway worked with ABC staff to import the existing stock data from other sources whilst maintaining daily stock movements.
“It has enabled us to keep our customers happy.” Says Chris Foster, Operations and Training Manager for ABC-logistics.
“We were losing track of the detailed information and needed to improve our weekly reports for accounting.” Said Ray Johns, Group Operations Manager of ABC-Logistics. “Camway have provided a good working solution for us.”
Once the system was developed Camway then set up training sessions to enable staff to become familiar with the new way of working.
Over a year later Camway were called back to ABC to make some minor changes as the business neeeds of ABC moved with the changing economic climate.
“It has just worked.” Said Foster. “Camway understood what we needed and provided the tools for us to do our job more effectively.”
